This might fall under the "urban legend" classification, but I have heard from a few other players that as you lower your scoring average, your putting meter feel is affected. especially in the higher tiers.  When I heard this I pretty much just laughed it off.

But these past several days...I'm beginning to wonder...

I am using the same amount of meter that I had been using for my putts.  Suddenly most of my putts started sliding past the hole by 4-5 feet, occasionally even more.  So I adjusted, no big deal.  But I also noticed that I seem to have to be more precise when hitting for the break.

I have written to WGT in the past and they have said they don't change the putting algorithm through any kind of product updates.  But is it already written into the program that as your average drops, when it gets to a certain point, your putting meter gets tweaked a bit to make it a bit more difficult to make putts ?

Or am I just in a slump ?

Green speed is noticeably different on some courses.

I find Merion and Pinehurst #2 greens to be slower then the other golf courses.

But I'm also sure that my putting prowess ebbs and flows too. Some days I hardly miss, some days I lip out a lot, and some days (thankfully few and far between) it seems I can't find the hole.
