  Sorry just have to get this off my chest.

   

  I want to thank the POABT players ( Personality of a broken toaster). I love a good boring game, teaches me patience. After the first two NS or NB and get no response I know I am playing with a POABT player. Some beat me some don't. Makes no difference. Playing nine holes with a POABT chap is just fine.

  I never come back with bad remarks like, mouse got your tongue or the chat box is way to social for me to. No I just play my game as if I am playing by myself. And go on hoping my next match is with a non-POABT.

  Sorry for the rant. WGT is my Golf. And thank goodness I am in a great Country Club.

  Good rant.

  I always start with a "GL"  and figure if I get no response to that it will be a very quiet round. I'm usually up for a chat if I'm playing random games.  I'll mention a hobby or ask about an interesting profile picture early on in the match. Sometimes it loosens up the typing fingers and if it doesn't at least I tried.

  lol...

  yea.. they are not the worce tho...

  a friend an i always add a 3rd... an ..the one's that kill me... stay quiet all round....well..like ya'll say...after 1st hole ..an not even a ..GL ////lol  .. ya kinda know..

  ok no biggy ...my bud an i just blab on yahhoo... an let him play in total silence....but get this...

  now we are not SUPER ..legends or whatever..but usually end up a couple under par...

  well...we have actually had ... MR.NO speak ,,, who is like + 3 or+ 4 ..shoes full of brush stickers..an. 3putt'd half the greens...  decide he 's gunna tell us we play slow !!!  on last hole !!!  after we have watch'd him beat it all over the course... LMAOOO  !! 

  OH ...i go off.. .. i mean ..i don't cuss em .. but ,, while timing out ...a couple times on last putt..an lettin em know just how nice a game they played while we waited on them...:).. i get em REALLY PIST ....lolol... u shud see em type then !!!  

  its HILLARIOS....

  .... rare tho...really...id say99% of the time... most are fun an courteous..

  Every body doesnt want to chat when playing . For some its a distraction , when trying to play . It also keeps the other player from becoming verbally abusive . Even one of my friends gets on me , because I dont like to chat a lot when playing . 

  If I want to chat then send me a pm , post on my wall , or catch me in the forums . If I have given you my number then call me . But on the course , I prefer not to chat as I too find it to be a distraction . Guess thats why I play stroke play so much . :-)

  I can't be competitive if I'm gonna chat.. I can do one or the other, doesn't matter to me. I like to play an occasional game of AS or something with the guys from the cc but I'm just whackin' the ball around and having fun. If I'm serious about wanting to beat someone in MP, you won't here much of anything from me after a quick "GL/HF". then a "GG" at the end.

  A GL/HF would be fine with me. Most POABT dont even show that gentleman courtesy.

  But then again I play for fun in A/S and MP.  Only in single play stroke do I take more time.  And I still dont play great LoL
