    hpurey:
and Legends played against other Legends with no wind in those tourneys.

Or raced them to TL. LOL.

Did more learning in that riot than any other time. IIRC, CCC, BPB and Oakmont fronts were all No Wind at the end. Sure learned those tracks.  :-D

Yes sir, a weekly no wind tourney on the tougher courses would be one of the nicest things wgt can do for TL's especially the new TL's. It would receive a ton of ball usage from me & I could finally put together some decent notes.

Thank about it Wgt, many times I look at the selection & decide it's just not worth all the work, since every tourney is set to such high difficulty. What will it hurt? It's not going to make the top players any better, but it would help us average players tremendously. I'd bet you would see a surge in credit/ball usage from the 1st day.

It could be done just once per 9 holes on each course so we can gather some basic notes. With these notes, I would be much more interested in playing in the tougher conditions.

The greens would need to be Champ speed of course, as that's what being a TL is all about.

Au contrare. You're better off playing the greens you know so when you do get over the hump you can see the real difference. Don't sweat the putting, you'll get it quick. Own where you're at now.  :-)

Hi Jim, I was bumped to TL over 300 RR's ago, but I'm really struggling with the mixture of high winds & champ greens every since.

If I had a chance at note taking without wind, to work on approaches on each green at champ speed, then I'd be done with the "no wind". We only need them long enough to go around a time or two for basic notes.

It's difficult to make good notes with high winds to say the least, I find it mostly a waste of time.

With you on that, WB, can't stand playing in those high winds. Love the green speed though.  :-)

Legends have had No Wind weekly and sometimes monthly tournaments for several months now. Saint Andrew's with no wind: Now there is some realism for you!

Can't remember the last no wind we got, hopefully one day they will have it as an option in practice mode

Can't see what the the harm be in a few zero wind tourneys now and then for TLs.
