I just got the Ping G25 iron set.  Now I'm trying to get some wedges to replace my starters.  I'm thinking of getting three of them and would like them evenly spaced down from my 115 yard PW.  Any suggestions?  I'm currently on Level 60 with 880 credits, but could wait a little while or get more credits if necessary.

Excuse me while I ramble on a bit.

You have fairly good stats and are playing lots of rounds.  That means you'll be progressing fairly quickly if you keep up the current pace.

So, my personal suggestion would be... get a couple of cheaper wedges, the ping gorge maybe, and use those until you get to where you are ready to spend some serious credits for the upper level wedges.

If you do that and learn how far they pitch and punch from various lies it's really all you need for now, and it won't clean out your credits.

    Good luck,

    Dave

    my suggestions:

    PING Gorge 60° Wedge (L42+)

    PING Gorge 56° Wedge (L41+)

3 wedges and drop the hybrid. All of the wedges are good so just get the best you can afford.

Above solid advice.  Something else to think about though maybe as follows:

I used to say 3 wedges but they played with what's available (no cheap ping 64 degree wedge now). Examine what distances you tend to be away and get something that covers that off.

Around the green I remember the L39 ATV 64 degree being a little gem.

Learn full shots, punches, pitches and flops with it.  For instance 22 yards out I punch 60% power FBS (OK my wedges but you get the deal).  Whatever you get you will replace higher up the levels and they pass quickly enough (see threads on XPs and levels).  If credits are burning a hole in your pocket 3 evenly spaced ones and dump the hybrid (it's just not needed for this game in normal rounds). The G25s were exactly the right purchase and that PW is also another wedge (remember it punches too).  Legend you will certainly need 3 wedges (have  look at the bags of top players for that).

A PW of 115 yds makes the Pings mentioned before quite useless IMHO with their distances of 75 and 90 yds. A 100 yds wedge would fit better, plus two starting from 50 / 60 yds.

My 2 Pfennig: It calls for the lvl 39 ATVs (see above), though the Cleves of lvl 76-80 aren't too far away @174,000-210,000 XPs.

You already have a bunch of advice but here are my thoughts about the wedges.  I would suggest the Cleveland 64 degree wedge at level 31.  I like the fact that they have a 60 yd range and the ATV only has a 50 yd range.  After that If you can wait till you reach level 64,  I would look at the ATV 60 and 54 degree wedges at a 90 and 110 yard range.  I currently use the old TP Master Z Satin 60 and 54 degree wedges but they have the same properties as the ATV wedges above.  My favorite club in the bag is the Cleveland level 80 64 degree wedge.  I would get it as soon as you reach that level.  I own the other  upper level Cleveland wedges ( they are in the closet currently ) but actually prefer the old Z-Satin wedges due to the range in yardage and they are easier for me to control, spin wise.

I hope you find this helpful.
