WGT has done this before. In fact, shoe handled such a transfer last November. I know because I was the recipient of a logo ball I was lacking in my virtual ball collection. Quite a few other balls were distributed from one account to many other needier players at the original owner's request.
It creates more work for someone at WGT to handle the transfer but I imagine they prefer it that way so they can keep it under control.
