msulaman:It's not a solution to say, "Always check the putting range first." I usually do just that but as soon as my mind is occupied with six other things to set the putt up properly, I forget to check the putting range and *&$#**@.
It is - just get used to a seven step pre-shot routine.
Fact is, if the standard were 15 ft you'd have to check it regardless, mindless putts would only stay short (countless of mine do when I think to have set up 60' but have 30' instead).
And, this is an easy set-up with the mouse wheel. More nerving is the stupid chips and pitches from rough which require mouseclicks :(
