why do you take a ball out of play in the middle of a round and than give you a starter ball when there other good balls to use?

It's ball durability.  After a certain number of shots, the ball is removed from play.  The number of shots you get out of a ball would depend on the type and how much durability the ball has.  When you reach the last ball in the sleeve, you are given the option to purchase more if you so desire.

Because those other balls aren't actually available to use, and the ball you were using is all used up.

We can only equip our bag with 1 make/model of ball at a time, and we have to do that before the game starts.

In other words, once we start playing we have no access to our other ball inventory so we can drag and drop another make/model of ball into our bag.

It's like all those other balls you have are in your garage at home,. not with you on the golf course.

It would be a big improvement if game work so balls you own were equipped in your bag and function as in real golf where you are allowed to change ball between holes or if a ball is lost.

As it is now I have a lot of balls never to be used up because I don't wanna get stuck with the basic WGT ball in the middle of a round.

Many WGT players are not real golfers, or are casual golfers and aren't familiar with the Rules Of Golf. They wouldn't be expected to be familiar with the rules.

WGT uses a stroke average rather than a handicap and many aspects of WGT are tournament play necessitating the use of tournament rather than casual play rules.

So the other part of the ball situation here on WGT is found in Appendix I, Part C, 1., c of the USGA Rules of Golf.

The tournament committee is allowed to invoke a local rule/condition of the competition known as the One Ball Condition.

The One Ball Condition states that the player has to use the same make/model of ball during a stipulated round. A breach of the rule results in disqualification. WGT does not disqualify a player. Instead WGT provides a ball (the same ball to anyone who runs out of the make/model ball they started with) we can finish a stipulated round with.

WGT warns every player they are using their last ball of that make/model, and gives the player a chance to buy more of the same ball.

A player that chooses to ignore the warning and/or elects to not buy another sleeve of the make/model ball they need to be sure they can finish the stipulated round can't complain too much.

The “stipulated round’’ consists of playing the holes of the course in their correct sequence, unless otherwise authorized by the Committee. The number of holes in a stipulated round is 18 unless a smaller number is authorized by the Committee. As to extension of stipulated round in match play, see Rule 2-3.
