I have been a member of WGT since June 2010; I am at level 88, Pro Tier, and have a 75.45 avg score. I have enjoyed playing the games, and I participate in some of the many activities, and have yet broke Par. My winnings are nearly non existant and I still enter the tournaments and play.

I seldom fail to complete a round I started, and if I do there is a good reason and not because I was not doing good. When I look through the scores after a stroke play tournament, I see that people on levels far below me shoot in the 50's, 60's on 18 and high 20's low 30's on 9. I have not shoot even par or below on any of my rounds yet i keep lowering my avg score; but I have no chance of beating the low scores.

    1) Why do players on a tier have to compete all the time with people shooting far above the tier level they play on? 2) What determines levels, tiers, etc , cause I do not see a level playing field when people in the same tier I'm in shoots 20 strokes better in tournaments than tier avg score? 3) maybe for monthly tournaments there should be a qualifying round, afterward flight the players according to scores; if a player then shoots 20 strokes better in the round that counts something is obvious. 4) Equipment players use make huge difference ; Ex: I still play with starter clubs and balls not paid for. Another player has Taylor Made Clubs, Ping Putter, etc; should we play against each other? Thats a 50 yd difference sometimes.

Thanks for listening (if anybody did); I enjoy the game, love the sceneries, and dont plan on stopping. I had these on my mind and decided to share.

not sure why you insist on handicapping yourself with junk equipment....you dont have to pay for upgraded equipment, there are videos to watch and surveys to complete for creds....plus twice a year (July and December) there are some very generous members on this site who gift equipment to those who need and cannot afford better equipment

Tiers are the only discretion WGT takes into account. And, what is "tier level" or "tier average score"? You may also inverse your statement: "Some people shoot high scores far below the tier level."

In seriousness, there are talented players (e.g. coming from other virtual golf games), and there are "talented" players deceiving the system and other players, e.g. by re-playing the ladder with new accounts.

See the FAQ for a general description and the discretion between tiers and levels.

In the Pro tier, a minimum of 20 ranked rounds plus a maximum of a 72 average trigger the promotion to Tour Pro.

I don't see the company changing the system to protect weaker players. Accept it as it is.

It comes down to your decision to invest more or less to the game and to your fun. The outcome is, you play low or on a higher level.

OTOH, you have a lot more experience than a standard player - a plus for you!

While you are wondering about exceptional scores played, do you notice others wondering about your particular tier / level combo?

Equipment makes all the difference.  You have a great scoring avg. for the equipment you're using.  At your level you would see a huge difference IMO!  Your enjoyment level would go up tremendously as well.
