I note that the distances the players can hit the ball is very low. Having played a reasonable amount of golf most players hit drivers about 250 - 260 yards. The pros hit it 300. So why does the game have its best club limited to 230 yards. THe art of golf is more about putting and chipping than driving, but even so birdies are extremely hard to achieve. I think I'll resume playing the Jack Nicklaus Accolade game from the 1990s.

I doubt that the average golfer in the US hits drives of 250-260 yards.

Only 23 PGA tour golfers have a y-t-d driving average of 300 or more yards.

Check the y-t-d driving stats at PGATour.com which shows the PGA  tour average driving distance is 288.4 yards.

Dayum, I thought this was going to be about introducing beer cart girls, not another whine from someone who is clearly not informed.  ie ignorant.

I can still play the Jack Nicklaus games and more (like 'Links) using the free DOSBox and programs from XTC*

I'm playing Jack Nicklaus Unlimited Golf in this video clip from my Twitch page.
