I, along with other members of my club, live in states where we can't pay to play in tournys with credit pay outs. If I am wrong about this, set me straight.  If I am right, what are we to do with the credits the club has built up? Its not fair to exclude us from playing for credits, because of where we live. Please help, for we are hungry for a credit  payout tournament.

You are not wrong.  It is not WGT excluding you, but rather state laws that do not allow skill gaming.   Here is some information from the FAQ's....

Skill Gaming: Ready-Go Tournaments and Match Play Challenges fall under Skill Gaming, which certain countries and US states prohibit.

The U.S. states that do not allow skill-based gaming are: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Vermont

The countries that do not allow skill-based gaming are: Brazil, Argentina, the People's Republic of China, South Korea, Japan.

    Cheers

You are right about many states not allowing skill based games. But wrong about the credits the club has built up. The credits shown in Club Earnings is the total credits won by all members and does not belong to the club.

Though it hasn't happened yet I am hearing from our state capital that Kentucky may be added to that list soon. The governor and some lobbyists are pushing for the state house and senate to introduce and pass a bill prohibiting skill based games. It seems that they are cutting into both the Kentucky Lottery earnings and the earnings from the Kentucky thoroughbred horse racing and the race courses like Keeneland and Churchill downs. It may not be so but that is what I have been hearing.
