The best way is to play a practice round. They do not count against your average. You have a total of 10 shots per hole,so once on the green you can putt from different distances. You can even putt it off the green and practice your chipping. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Also...If you practice on the Par 3 course you only have to hit one shot to start your putting practice.

Good advice if 4 years late. You get 15 shots plus mulligans now to update the advice given.

Since its generally agreed the distance and spin attributes of balls doesn't matter in putting, consider using a lower cost ball with the same meter attribute.  You have the GI2-SD2 equipped.  @ 155cr per sleeve.  Consider buying a sleeve of GI2-S  @ 64cr  They have better durability (more hits per ball) as well.

Then use the practice round and the mulligan feature to hit the same putt repeatedly until you learn the break.

Or you  can go a full 18 hit off the easy or medium tees and use the starter ball . All you want to do is practice your putting so using the mulligan wont cost you any ball hits . But if you feel that you have to use a ball better than the free one , I would suggest the GI- D at 44 credits a sleeve . They play pretty well .

If you're comfortable with the faster meter speed then fine.  Whether a miss the ding or hit the ding putter you'll be wasting putts if you can't deal with the starter ball speed.

Or....do it the way I always have ( which is highly un-recomended) practice nothing. Just play in weekly tourney games and apply a little heat on outcome.

Hello crgade,go on WGT COMMUNITY @ the top of your profile page then click on GOLF COURSES,you can practice on a lot of courses but remember the ball does`nt land in the same spot twice. Swing it well & cheerio.
