Just played the Whistler front and started with two birdies,  Wow, I said.  This is awesome, I said.  Hope I can keep it up, I said (insert Viagra joke here).

Anyhow, walked out with a par round and felt relieved.  Not anger, not disappointment, just relief.  Those greens are crazy!

If anyone has some advice on how to deal with them (other than pitch/chip mode, knowing where to land the approach), please feel free to bequeath such info on Mr. Mousehandthatisstillshaking over here.

    Best.

Alot of the putts align to the corners of the grid squares.

you're hitting so many wedges to Whistler that you should be in tap in range most of the time.

The greens are not a real issue unless you hit a poor approach shot.

The Whistler (and Cabo) greens aren't nearly as finely detailed topographically as regular WGT greens.  You need to move the chip view around and determine where there are abrupt changes in break.  Even knowing that, it's still a guessing game sometimes.

    Hi

Since the greens are so severe, you need to give yourself uphill putts. Especially if green speed is tournament or champ.

Below is where u need to put your ball using clock. 12 o'clock away from the tee, 6 o'clock close to the tee

    1: 7 o'clock but not important

2: 6, but beware the ball wil roll down so aim 2 yards further right

    3: 5 (at all cost)

4: 9 o'clock but insane green. 1 o'clock is not bad even though its downhill

    5: 5 (at all cost)

6: 7, u can aim a little further right since it will rol left

    7: 7

    8: 7

    9: 7

    10: 4

11: 5, on this hole in tailwind, ball usually goes 2 yards further than calculated

12: 4 (at all cost, 15 feet away is okay)

    13: 6

    14: 7

    15: 4

    16: 7

    17: 3 (at all cost)

    18: 9

Good luck next time. If U have a course notebook, us it for future rounds

This is great, man.  Thanks.  I've done the same thing with the usual suspects I play(ed) during the Bracket tournies, but hadn't had a chance to play Whistler too much.  Exactly what I was looking for.  Is this broad stroke where the 3:00 would mean the right-mid side of the green, or in tight to mean right-mid side of the pin?  Because, of course, pin placement might have something to say about things I'm sure.

    Best,

    S.

clock is regarding the pin, not green.

Whistler doesnt have a second pinplacement which makes it easier to use the notebook.
