I played this game when the first beta version came out about 6 years ago. At that time, TW for PC was much the superior game for several reasons. There were more players, more courses, more equipment. WGT did not even compare. So, I thought nothing of it and played TW instead. A lot of you played TW as well I am sure, and are fully aware that TW is no longer online. After a few year hiatus I clicked on an ad for WGT and started to play. Part of the reason I stuck around was that this is the only multiplayer game around now. The developer has also done a very nice job to improve game play and player options like equipment etc. So, naturally, I joined a club, I played daily, I bought credits and I improved. I started to really like this game.

Then... I tried to log in, and my account is disabled. Huh?

So I emailed support, and this is what's transpired since...

    Hello,

I've just tried to log in to WGT (username: g0t00t) and apparently my account has been disabled.

    What's going on?

    Dear,

Our records indicate that you have created multiple WGT accounts, or that your account has been shared with another person. Accessing WGT via more than a single account is a violation of WGT Terms & Conditions policies. Read the Terms & Conditions here: http://wgt.com/terms.aspx

Due to this violation, your account has been temporarily closed. Please reply to this message with a listing of all your open WGT accounts.

Wow, how could I forget to read the fine print? Anyway, let's try to remember and get this thing sorted out...

    You are correct.

If you can see that I did have another account then you can probably look at the details. It's been a while but let me try to remember; that account was created maybe 5 or 7 years ago and with it I probably played a total of maximum (and I am probably exaggerating) 6 hours. I didn't like the game then, for multiple reasons. I honestly have no idea what the username, password or even ‎the email associated with that old account is.

With WGT being the only real and enjoyable online multi-player golf game on the market no‎w (and as you can tell by the history on this account including playing time and the purchases made) I am obviously opting to play.

Please tell me what I can do ‎to reinstate this account.

    Thanks for your time.

    Dear,

Creating multiple accounts is against our terms and conditions. This gives you a unfair advantage over other players.

Did you read my email below?

I've found the old account, which I will remind you again I have not used in 6 years.

Please tell me how I can delete that account so that I can keep playing.

The account I wish to delete is:

    Email: xxxx@hotmail.com
    Username: xxxx
    Password: xxxx

    Thank you.

    Dear,

I am sorry but we have found more then just one account. This account will remain closed. Opening additional accounts does not help you.

There are no other accounts in my name that I can think of.

Are you saying that I am permanently banned from playing this game? Is there no way to reconcile this petty issue?

Again, I must reiterate that the old account in question had not been used for 6 years, therefore suggesting that I created multiple accounts to create an unfair advantage for myself is completely baseless.

    Dear Ivan,

Sorry but as I stated already this account will remain closed.

Clearly, I waited for 6 years to create a 2nd account so that I could create an unfair advantage for myself. Good thing that WGT didn't ask for my civic address because clearly I belong in jail.

I could understand if I created multiple accounts within a relatively short period of time and gifted things between them and/or played tournaments in order to gain credits. No, instead I PAID to buy credits because I thoroughly enjoy this game.

This is the thank you that I get for paying to play.
