    Hi all,

I think WGT should create a new tier for certain players! It should come somewhere in between (L) Legend and (TL) Tour legend and should be called (TLC) Which stands for Tour Legend Cheater!

These are the people who have made (TL) by consistently hammering the multi play easy set events in their country clubs to get their averages down to (TL) levels! Thus achieving the title, but very little else!

You can always tell these people if you ever meet them on the tee! The slightest of winds will blow them over, they have forgotten what its like to hit from "Championship Tees" and certainly cant putt on "Championship Greens"

They are an easy knock down in a fair matchplay game and although they are showing a sub 60 average, that´s about all they can show in all honesty! Not that you will encounter these types very often, they like to stay within the safety of their own (CC)

Now does that stand for "Cheaters Circle" or "Country Club"?

    Whoops lol

    Peace & Happy Golfing

    OTF

Who would care for those egobaggers? They will fail anyway.

Gamers will be gamers, and if that floats their boat fine IMO.  I do agree with a new tier though but not just to solve the "badge" issue which frankly bully for them who cares IMO.

Anyway loads in this thread bar of course any sign of an answer or update even to say not likely in the next year, just WGT silence to a thread they started.

I am not sold on the idea of a new tier as it will not solve anything. Part of the problem lies with "averages" as once saturation is reached it is meaningless.

The entire system is flawed in that respect and creating a new tier for the sake of it will not differentiate between the players.

For a long time now we have seen social players tiered up due to match play wins - they may have legend in their title but they are way out of their depth.

Now with the new CC Red tee events lower level players with top equipment will score better, and get tiered up as a result, regardless of their skill set.

See the problems? But WGT seem reluctant to not count these scores towards averages, they will certainly never reintroduce tier based equipment and are reluctant to allow "true averages" (and this could be manipulated easily at lower tiers).

For the record I am no tour legend, and never have considered myself good enough for the title. I still have about another 250 games to reach saturation and I complete all rounds. I never consistently get the ball close and when I score well it is because I putt well - when I don't you could swear I was a hack.

I am sure they will make changes at some stage, and as usual will probably be poorly thought through and poorly implemented.
