I'm running Ubuntu on an HP laptop, so it definitely works, but you'll need to monkey with the Flash a bit.

Firefox won't work at all, but Chromium does (open source version of Chrome).

For gameplay, I use Chromium, but had to "steal" the Flash from Chrome.  You should be able to find detailed instructions on the interweb for this...or there might also be some in the forums here somewhere.

My advice would be to buy it, as long as you have a reasonable knowledge of computers, and the ability to follow directions....since you'll probably have to figure out a lot of things on your own.  The good side of that is that there's plenty of resources available online.  Send me a friend invite, and I'll gladly point you in the right direction.  :-)

I've played this game on my Linux partition of my desktop, only problem is, the meter is so smooth & slow, I was so use to the fast meter on windows that I kept clicking too early. lol Also Max browser is the same way but a little better. You really do feel the difference when You are in control of the game. Instead of having a jumpy meter with all of the add ons/ ads in the background messing it up.

Their website has the latest version. And it's very stable, unlike Chrome which updates all the time with the latest pepper flash. I believe I went a   whole month using Maxthon without it updating anything. And if you use the adblock with it you will see that the game plays a whole lot better. No pops in mid game that are extremely  annoying on chrome.

I currently use Puppy Linux (Slacko) with Chromium browser, and pepperflash.

I use Adblock and hosts file which blocks most ads.

I have found if screen is maximised, meter is worse.

Also I never hit a shot full 100%, even 99% seems much smoother.
