    on the absolute worst course on WGT.  Why they insist on having tournaments on Pinehurst No. 2 is beyond me. The course doesn't read right on yardage, the greens don't hold (why I waste expensive balls playing it is just crazy - I could do just as well playing rock intro balls), and the wind is impossible to overcome.  Of you're off a yard from the pin, the ball rolls off the green.  If you hit the suggested club or the club you would normally hit for conditions it is either 20 yards short or 20 yards long - there is NO consistency so you can't calibrate your shots. I just refuse to play it anymolre, even in Bracket rounds. FIX IT PLEASE!

    I love Pinehurst. Its a really good test of skill and use of equipment, especially tournament speed greens. First time I played it ate me up but with better clubs with some backspin applied I overcame my loathing of this course. PS Love the new volvik balls, good spin and distance

    I find PH #2 to be fantastic.

    My 2 Pfennig:

    Pinehurst is a hell of a long course, and those elevated greens are brutal!

    OTOH, your equipment is a tad on the short side, making scoring difficult. Hitting these Starter 3WD and 3H with their low trajectory and low spin into these greens sure is Sisyphus work, followed by Sisyphus using the bl00dy Starter wedges for pitches and chips.

    Get some custom wedges and a 3WD, this would be tremendous for your game!

    Well Duke, alosso is right. Would you play Colonial with a low-end set of clubs ? Pinehurst is long and sneaky hard. It takes numerous rounds to get the hang of it...I hope ;-}

    At level 86, you should get off your billfold and give yourself the gift of a better chance. ~SP ~
