I came along this quote from I think a CC owner:

"Problem is, many players just don't participate in CC events and some that do, get tired of losing to the same players over and over again because the CC's create tournaments for all members and not tier specific, therefore the member seeks out other clubs." CanineSupervisor

Exactly the same problem we are having in our club causing inactivity (my opinion). Luckily a discussion was started in our "club forum" to get some new and fresh ideas of refreshing our club tournaments.

I suggested that tournaments should be set up in such a way that any player winning 3 "entry-level tournaments" move up to a next tier of tournament (lets call it the "winners circle") That way you take the "regular winners" out of the "entry-level tournaments", giving some other players a chance to become a winner as well, but also motivation to move up to the "winner circle" and compete against other "regular winners"

The reply from the club owner was that "it is not possible and cant be done" (bad response according to me, as this is close to wgt's "virtual tour" format) Luckly some other members thought it was an idea that can work and suggested that I take my suggestion straight to WGT, so here I am....

Now the question is, can WGT consider and impliment that kind of format on clublevel. I believe that it can create more excitement, motivation and participation on club level and the posibilities is endless as, already "very-active clubs" can even create a third level Tournament "Club Champion" (monthly) and even "champion of champions" tournament anually at club level, as in WGT's "Virtual Tour"

    Happy golfing
