Not likely I'm going to make it at this point, but wondering how WGT is going to handle the issue of points earned at different tiers.  I earned points as a TourMaster, but now I am a Legend.  If I win Legend points this month, is that added on to my TM points to determine top 70?  It doesn't seem to be the case right now.  If you don't allow prior tier points to accumulate you would be rewarding those who abuse the game by playing as level 90 TourPros, and penalizing those who advance tiers.  Any answers?  I haven't seen this issue addressed.

It should be in the conditions of the competition.

AFAIK, the points are accumulated but the tier changes. Your TM points should count towards your Legend standing.

Thanks for reply Alosso.  If you are right, then the current leader boards are completely off, as they are not accounting for people's prior points.  I don't even show up on the Legend board, I only show up on the TM board.

There are very many players that have not been advanced to the higher tiers on the Virtual Tour Season leaderboard. Hopefully WGT takes Dec. 1 to move all those players to the tier leaderboards they belong in, otherwise, there are going to be players that don't make the top 70 because someone (or many someones) weren't advanced to their higher tiered money earnings page.

Can anyone from WGT comment on this one... will those players be advanced to show that their VT earnings qualifies them to compete (or not) in the season ending championship, in the tier they belong to, or will they simply take up a spot in lower tiers, and thereby block someone of that tier from qualifying to play in the season ending championship?

the points only carry over when the next tour event at the higher tier is entered and played ( and possibly more points earned )

so... for any one at a lower tier than tour legend, it may be advisable to miss this current event as promotion to the higher tier may cause that person to land outside the top 70 in the higher tier

which as mentioned many times before is a farcical situation .....

But it wouldn't help them at all... they won't be able to play in the lower tier competition. They've already been promoted. When the game screen comes up, they get the conditions for the tier they belong to and anything earned is from competing in the tier they belong in.

And besides, there are many people on the legend tier leaderboard still, despite having been tiered up to tour legend, and having competed at the tour legend level in Virtual Tour events...

Their accounts haven't been moved to the proper leaderboard is all... they were moving them until The Transamerica Championship, then it seems they quit moving players after that competition.

Me thinks they'd move once they win credits in the new tier. In the final, they might play in the TL comp but still be rated in the Legend VT leaderboard if they fail to score credits/points (just guessing).

This might point in another, well-known direction :(

i haven't looked at this for months, but it is as i said. credits must be eaned in a tour event at the higher level in order for that person to move up a tier on the virtual tour leader boards

the spreadsheet below has 2 sheets, the first show the current legend virtual tour leaderboard  showing what those listed at tour legend have done since tiering up.

     - if i'm bored enough tomorrow, i might look at the number of active legend in the top 70 :)

the second sheet show a full list of every credit earned in the virtual tour. it clearly shows that people are still tiering up once credits are earned

    - eg see lines 26  - 28

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ozryPctzJpvITr2Nip2VFkSoVR1UhAVKjV71sMhS2xg

( it's a copy and paste of the top 70 for each tier in each event and sorted on name to show what each player has done )

but yes, the vacuum will be for those that have tiered up and not earned credits at the higher tier.
