  Scramble and Best Ball format options:

  There is a common misconception among golfers that ,

  scrambles and best ball tournaments are the same.

   

  Some even say “best ball scramble" ?

   

  In a scramble:,

  each player hits their own shot from the tee. The team then chooses the best shot. Players whose shots were not selected, go pick up their ball and the entire team shoots their second shots from where this “best shot” came to rest.

   

  In best ball format:,

  each player on a team plays their ball from where it ends up.

   

  either or both , would be great.

  Scramble is never gonna happen with variables and decisions. WGT doesn't allow us to make any.  Best Ball scores can be kept in chat while playing. We've played best ball plenty of times in the CC and Community organized tourneys.

  A Best Ball format shouldn't be that difficult for them to set up. They already have most of the programming done.

  They have it set so you can have 2 teams of 2 in their Alt shot format.

  They have it where each player can play their own ball from tee to hole in a foursome.

  Al they would have to program for is how to take the best score of the team for each hole and that should not be that difficult to do.

   

  if x players scores is <or= y players score print x players score else print  y players score.

  But surely that can only determine distance, what about lie and such ?

  Great format but think it maybe un-presentable here unless they gave each team the option of choice

  You got the 2 mixed up as a lot of people do. There is a huge difference between the 2 and the BEST BALL format shouldn't be that much for them to program.
