Does anyone use a pagefile size of zero, and do you notice any improvements in the overall performance on this site specifically, the meter.

When I was stuck having to use a really inferior computer for a while I monkeyed with different sizes of that file and couldn't ever find a benefit in it. It never changed the playability of the game for me. I was woefully under the min specs to play here, though.

With newer computers running 64 bit o/s, and having more than 4 gig's have ram, disabling the pagefile, ie (setting it to zero), there are benefits.  Reduces system resources significantly.  Don't forget, the pagefile is where active contents of the memory are swapped to and that information is stored in memory.

You will notice an increase in performance, and you will notice faster start-up and shutdown times.

I will get back to the forum at a later date and report my findings.
