Just wanted to share with you my 2 lil cents,
after your recent exchange with some of the players
on why people are so upset, and pls feel free to pass it along.

you see, the most passionate anger often originates from love.
people love this game and would LOVE the cc clashes,
if it was done right and w/ good faith.
if you'd throw away the quantity factor of both CC pass,
or the number of members in participating CC's,
it would've been an exciting event that e1 would've been waiting for.

If you could just put aside corporate greed,
and make it  single play (still can require CC pass for it if you'd like),
and instead of this modified stableford system, maybe make an
algorithm to calculate the round average of all the scores posted
(and a penalty score for WD's), so that size of CC's wont be an advantage,
and really base it all on the Club's average game skill compared to other clubs,
well then, we'd actually have ourselves a CC Clash.

but instead of doing that, and fixing long overdue issues,
you invest time and resources on complete nonsense
like gnomes and puppies, when you can use that time and manpower
to better the game's mechanics, and add new products and avatars.

when you first announced CC clashes, it sounded like a great thing,
a real chance for a cc to come together and battle it out to the top,
but instead you gave in to greed, and took out the skill factor all together.

So next time you scratch your head thinking
about why so many players despise the CC clashes,
maybe consider some of what I wrote about here,
and maybe, just maybe pass it on to some of the execs,
and make it about golf and skill again.

and now, a funny interlude (a must watch!)

    Very well said gmaster.

I think you've summed up most people's frustration very eloquently.

I think Shoe is being disingenuous about protecting the CC event.

If I look at all the CC's and see the amount of well respected players in each one, then I see a huge disinterest in these matches. For sure the top players are not commenting here, but for doubly sure they are not sending emails to WGT complimenting them on  their great inventiveness.

    Get real WGT.

    Yep well summed up.

Short sighted fast $ greed got in the way of giving something a go that so many actually wanted, and seeing how that worked out $ wise for WGT.

No idea how long the programming took, but the idea is either catering to the masses brilliantly and way beyond my comprehension or it's plain crap. I am siding with plain crap, and thus won't be supported enough by those masses.  Obviously many respected players are staying away in droves, but that was never the main target in a no skill bang it round for a puppy tee.  Think that's all about as polite as I can get all round.

What is interesting, to me, is my little snap shot (not even an owner) in that I have been contacted about possibly joining the CC I am in by a couple of good players, and this is  because we do not support this nonsense (OK as well as running a clean ship same as other several good places).

I should add we do not interfere with any one in any way playing whatever they want, but as a CC are not in it.  Quite some bad feeling generally drummed up by WGT over this it seems.

Great Post GMaster, a lot of players would agree. The price of passes need to come way down also. A lot of people in this game are on a fixed income and we don`t get enough video`s for golf balls, none the less passes.
