How do I get my drives to go 270-275 rather than the default 225?

You will need to upgrade your driver to get more distance.

There are a lot of great Drivers out there. I had the L-48 Taylormade R1 is rated for 275 yds.

Your a L-73 Pro and this is available. At L-83 the Callaway XHot Driver is rated for 282 yds. Check them out in the Pro Shop

In one word: money :)  the L48 R1 for about $25 in the pro shop gets you there, and you will enjoy that driver for quite a while as you advance.  Depending on how much time you have and what you think it's worth you can also try surveys to accumulate credits for purchasing higher performing equipment.  Purchasing golf balls (that wear out=more money) also help with distance and control (meter speed and spin) to improve your drives and other shots.  -Keith
