While putting, my meter is completely out of control.

One put the meter crawls (literally, I can count "1,2,3" before the meter hits the "center" line) and the next put is FLIES through the meter like a comet.

Needless to say, this has made putting a NIGHTMARE. Is anyone else seeing this?

Also, I have this stupid "shot accelerator" on my profile now (must have one it in a tournament) and I think that's the culprit. It fires the ball down the fairway and accelerates the animation. It makes the game VERY unrealistic and is a HUGE distraction. How do I turn it off???

Sounds like you have a ball speed boost. Turn it off in the game settings/options....against Ball Speed Boost check NONE and below that, Use Ball Speed Boost On Green check NO.

I thought that might be it as well, but it wasn't. It's happening too frequently. I suspect either it's a client issue or a problem with my internet connection. I've had SO many awesome rounds RUINED at the last minute because of a weird fluctuation in the meter speed. Some are literally me hitting the button on my mouse and then watching the meter "freeze" only to find I've gone past the center mark by over an inch of screen space. Usually these result in a huge divot and a crap shot.
