    From yesterday's news:

Today is the last chance for the 420 top WGT players to post their best score in Round 1 of the WGT Virtual Championship, which has a record prize purse of 10 million WGT Credits, a $10,000 value.

I really like it: The exchange value of WGT credits has now been set to 1,000 : 1 against the $. This is a significant step off the fake 100 : 1 rate which they have claimed before.

WGT has ever failed to explain how credits "of no monetary value" (see T&Cs), might have a $$ value, but nevertheless they claimed it repeatedly.

If I had direct access to US legacy, I might feel to react, but since I'm miles apart of it, I can only express my honest disgust.

At least, their claim has been reduced by a factor of 10 now!

You are approaching honesty, but it may be a long way!

Lol, vns. But I have to say, it's better they added than subtracted a zero with their typo with 10 million credit purse. Alas, whatever the news may say, it's 1 million "only", lol.

I would like to know what statement is true?

    05 Dec 2014

"Today is the last chance for the 420 top WGT players to post their best score in Round 1 of the WGT Virtual Championship, which has a record prize purse of 10 million WGT Credits, a $10,000 value.

In order to be eligible for the Championship prizes, players must post Round 1 by the end of today Fri 12/5, so they can play Round 2 (12/6-12/8), which is a more challenging single-play round in tougher conditions on Pinehurst No. 2. The top 70 players in each tier will split the 5 million credit purse based on their combined scores from Round 1 and Round 2.

Then, the Top 4 Tour Legends will compete in a final round, on a brand new WGT course, from 12/11 to 12/14, for another 5 million credit purse. Those 4 Tour Legends will also need to stream their final rounds on Twitch for other WGT players to watch live"

    or this

    02 Dec 2014

"The top 70 players in the Pro thru Tour Legend tiers on the Virtual Tour Season Leaderboard have qualified for this final championship tournament on WGT, with a ONE MILLION WGT Credit purse, a value of $10,000 in credits.

Qualifying players can post their best score in an unlimited-play first round on Kiawah, 12/2-12/5, then play a single-play second round on Pinehurst No. 2 12/6-12/8, to determine their combined final score and share of the 500,000 credit purse.

The top 4 Tour Legends from this will also play a final round and stream it live on Twitch from 12/11-12/14, competing for another 500,000 credit purse"

More confusion, less communication from WGT.

The former from 12/05 is certainly not true since the T&Cs state that credits have no monetary value. Thus no amount of credits can possibly have any $$ value,  except you purchase real value goods in the Elite shop, where 500,000 cr come down to
3x 250 $ gift cards (165,000 each) for those who are able to verify their account, leaving 5,000 cr in the pocket. This is far off the promised amount.

It's another mistake that they raised the purses (in credits) erronously - the CCs of the tournaments stand, I'd guess.

    Ho - ho - ho!

    From the news of 12-09:

It was a close second round, but in the end these four Tour Legends are moving on to Part 2 of the Virtual Tour Championship competing for another 500,000 WGT Credit purse.

    [...]

Congratulations to all of the 420 top players that qualified and played in the Virtual Tour Championship, who will split the record 500,000 credit purse based on their final combined scores.

No more mentioning of any $ value - thank you WGT!

Would you do it just to please me(???), or has some new thinking eventually taken over?

You need not answer, anyway, I'm pleased and impressed!
