Are there any Country Clubs that use a handicap system in their Club Tournaments that help level the playing field

We hold a thrice yearly Handicap event.  It's 18 hole, stroke play.  As with all things we do at GOGC, we feel that simple is better.

We list players as A, B or C.  A's get 0 strokes, B's get 3 strokes and C's get 5 strokes.  We run it over at Challonge and we get a good turnout for it each time.

New Haven CC and The Best of the Alliecats both use my tourney manager.  Completely macro driven using cut and paste.  Maintains the last 25 single-round and unlimited play scores for each member as well as their current tier.

Will calculate a handicap index for all members in the CC with at least 5 scores posted.  Will also maintain as many tourneys you wish to run and produce either gross or net results as well as a points leaderboard for tourneys that you want to run for a few months or more..

It's still in beta and uses Excel 2007 or greater.

I haven't decided to release it to the community.  Something about WGT having a handicap system soon (like the CC Bank).

If you're willing to deal with the "beta" and actually willing to read the slides and watch the training videos, send me a PM.

I had to manually calculate the member handicaps of The Allie Cats ... very time consuming but now it's just a matter of posting the CC tourneys.  It's pretty slick IMO.

As owner of New Haven CC, i will just say Kat's system is hands down the best. The work she put into it is and was amazing.

Even though she isn't with us anymore, she will always be part of our family, and we thank her here everyday for what she did for us.
