  Perfectly put Nat11     - I've had a look at this and it's CTTH with putting.  Visually impressive for a couple of minutes, then boredom sets in - all seems a lot of effort for for little reward.

  its different and some of us like it even if it is only a par 3 course...

  and and and......i got a hole in 1 on my 1st try.. haha...

  Hey, I'm with the 'thumbs up' crowd. I'm always happy to see new holes and courses on here no matter how they are presented. Sure we'd all prefer a full course but I don't get the rabid negativity and attacks just because this one isn't. Especially since it has been announced long ago so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who pays attention to the forums.

  I haven't played it yet but I'm looking forward to it and PB to come in due course (no pun intended).

  I agree. It was announced that Brandon as a par 3 would come first. It will then be followed by Pebble Beach.

  When Pebble Beach comes out there will still be people moaning. Some people are never satisfied. You would have thought they had paid for this course.

  I think it's a beautiful course to play. The wind and elavations make it interesting. Play the course a few times to give it a chance. By all means give fair criticism but let's not go overboard.

  Not complaining but are you going to do a full Brandon dunes course at all ???

  I don't think a full course at Bandon has ever been on the cards, it has always been talked about as a collection of par 3 holes right from the first announcement.

  IMO, the course is here essentially as an advertisement for the Bandon Dunes Resort. That's in part why it is selected par 3's from all the Bandon Dunes Resort courses. I had never heard of Bandon Dunes until it came up here on WGT.

  I liked how it shows which Bandon Dunes course each hole is on. The area is beautiful and since I'll be in Oregon in the fall I might have to try and shoehorn a visit to Bandon Dunes into my itinerary.

  Pitch and putt par 3's only require short irons off the tee. This 18 has holes that require using long clubs off the tees.

  Just played Brandon Dunes or the first time, Had an 8 on no. 3 , and a 1 on no. 6...Ended 5 over on the front 9, very tough greens...should be a challenge to everyone!

(Gimme back my clubs you stole from me about 5 months ago and maybe I will) But seems to me everyone knew this was coming so ya, I sorta don't get the complete nastiness toward it. It's not like the they said the other night "Okay we're loading up Pebble Beach guys just hang on." Then BANG it's 'The Duns'... 

   

   

  The 'Half-assed' thing is just funny for the overall running of the place and how WGT does things in general.. LoL
