Instead of wasting time with non-transparent avatars that don't work, or no-one actually needed. Why not give a similar option that can be checked under options that will automatically pull the pin when the shot is played?

Yes, Yes, I know we can already pull the pin, but there are many players like myself that don't pull the pin (just habit I guess) and only give it any thought when our approach smashes the pin and flies over to the next hole. Those that do pull the pin would find this useful too though, as they wouldn't have to click on it throughout the game.

Not actually sure if this has already been suggested, but at least it's something that many players would use.

That would be one of the worst thing that WGT could do. Many of us don't pull the pin for a reason! We want it left in so if we hit the shot too hard and it can hit the pin and not go way past. I have had my butt saved many more times than the 2 or 3 lost hole out that I lost due to not pulling the pin.

    The solution lies with you.

That's why I suggested it as an option. I never said it should be compulsory. You would simply check a box to use it or not use it.

Hmmm, ok, you may want to try a different approach. The only time I have ever done that is if there's a huge downhill pitch or similar. However, if you're using it to stop approach shots, you may want to try more backspin on your shots.

The biggest thing about this suggestion would be that it would be OPTIONAL, so for the players that are set in their ways and don't want to change anything, they simply don't have to.

For me pulling the pin for the past few weeks doesn't actually pull the pin,I pull it on every approach shot but like I have posted elsewhere in the forums when I pull the pin I have still hit it,,,yes yes yes it appears to be gone but I have hit that invisible pin that's not suppose to be there at least 5 or 6 times the past few weeks you can hear it hit and then the ball careens away from the hole, very frustrating and costing me shots,,seems to have started since the last update,,and yes I have cleared my cache etc etc etc!.....fix the dang thing WGT....................

Well, suggestions are always interesting and possible additions. However, you may wish to re-read your grounds for this option :

For the New Year, consider breaking the habit. It will help you concentrate.  ~ SP ~

OK, let me rephrase cause I see it's quite difficult for people to see past the "just a habit I guess."

Many many players pull the flag just before they hit they ball, I'm guessing these players pretty much do it every time, (unless as stated above, they are trying to use the flag to stop the ball with chips, pitches, etc) which wouldn't be often.

So to make it easier and save a little bit of time, have the option to automatically have the flag pulled as the shot is played. The key word there being option. All it would be is a simple little box to check under options.

Yes, I realize this is not going to revolutionize the way people play, but rather just something small that saves a little time, and yes, in my case forget to pull the flag. I actually use the flag to aim, i.e aim from the default view and not the zoomed in view. Maybe that's why I never got into the habit of pulling the pin, cause I was using it.

Like the idea, one less thing to click while setting up the shot. That's a lot of clicks per year for most of us! lol
