is there an alternative to providing a 150 foot putter? maybe if the shot is 15 feet, give std putter for 15 feet and let players decide if they need to increase distance?

FWIW, I never putt from the fringe.

I usually hit a Pitch shot from fringe but on occasion will hit a Chip or a Flop.

A key is knowing you have to keep an eye on the Auto Caddy and that the player is always responsible for making sure they have the scale and club they want for the shot.

It has always been a "stone in the shoe", but a stone that will eventually train a player to automatically ignore the advice from the caddie and to quickly double check club selection & shot type. It becomes a discipline of value.  ~ SP ~
