I've played many a game against folks who were "awarded" the gold putter during clashes. From what I've seen and what they told me, it's certainly no magic wand. To wit, they missed a hell of a lot of putts using it.

    Just sayin'

Don't think so - it's but an illusionary price tag for their Golden Calf.

IMHO, it's just the pinnacle on their successful business scheme around the CC passes.

Plus, quite a few change back to their trusty "normal" custom putter - it must be inferior to these.

This applies even to the one player I know who actually BOUGHT that beast! He, and fmag (who apparently got it lent by WGT for a short while) came to the same quality assessment.
