Which version do the best players use?

Is there an advantage of using one over the other?

    Thanks

I'm reading here that the mobile version does not have all functions of the PC version:

    - some courses missing,

    - (some) avatars missing,

    - no uneven lies,

    etc.

It may also be easier to play a shot with a mouse.

yes a big screen and use of a mouse is always an advantage.

    alosso:
    - (some) avatars missing,

There is only 2 avatars to chose from. Male or female. There are 2 colors of clothing so when you play head to head you each have an avatar with different colored clothing. But none of the avatars that were purchased on the web game are available on mobile. The one thing that I do like on mobile is the fact that you have the choice of either right handed or left handed avatars.

As for shots being easier to play with a mouse, I see no difference really. As I only play it on my Iphone 4s the big draw back for me is the very small screen size. And because of the ultra small screen size even with the balls that slow down the meter it is still much faster than on my 23 inch monitor. There is just so much less space to move.

They do seem to be using the mobile version to test out a lot of new features before adding them to the web version. things such as the variable wind speeds transparent avatars and right now the elevation changes on putts on the greens. They are more refined on the mobile version. you might have one showing 0.2 up when before anything less than 1 was always shown as 0.

I would have loved to beta tested the android version but my Nextbook 7 tablet wasn't compatible with it.

I found this game through ios, had no idea it existed till then, early mobile benefits were the single play tourney's were seperate from the pc site, you could actually play the single play monthly and weekly's on both sites and get paid for each placing. They quickly "fixed" that however, now tourney's on both platforms have the same leaderboard.

Oddly, the mobile version (I play on ipad) has more meter gremlins than i suffer on my pc.

Any computer guru's care to explain that?

edit: My major problem with mobile is "ghost clicking", the careless and accidental touching of the screen, causing really bad shots. Lol. Lost more balls on mobile than pc by far.
