  There appears to be new criteria for moving to another tier, but as you can see, nobody is talking.  Our Points Level, of course, determines what equipment is unlocked...but it appears tier advancement is more affected by the amount we play and how competitive we are.  Scoring average, a big factor in tier promotion in the past, and not affected as much by poor play now, may not be as big of a factor.  My guess is all the numbers are just thrown into the big computer in the sky and one day we you wake up and WALA, you're in the next tier...whether you like it or not (wink).

  You can go to the Main Menu, Community, Latest News...down the news page, you'll find a recent article (dated 27 Oct 2010) titled New: Equipment, Boosts, Recommendations, Average, Scores and Zong!  There is a 'carrot' there about tier advancement criteria.
