Are you into mice, pro-mice? Did I miss a pun?

I concur with high praise of the punch, in any situation!

Those short game shots, chip, pitch, flop, need good clubs and good balls, alternatively a TL's experience. Me and my lvl33 Callies are at the lower end of "good enough", and Starter wedges are NOT adequate, for sure.

Thus to the OP: Either buy a quality exchange for the LW, or execute those shots with the other wedges.

At this stage I go to the 'flop' shot type 90% of the time if the hole is less than 20 yards or thereabouts. I haven't understood where I would need to use 'punch' option unless I am in fescue 60% to get back on fairway (or lipping the bunker) or 40% lie in rough 180 yards away. I've heard guys swear by the 'punch' in the bunker, but I'm unsure for what circumstances a punch would be better than a flop or alternatively a full shot depending on distance and lie.

Someone mentioned I should replace my starter LW. I've shortlisted 2 clubs atm Maxspin 64 Level 52 (60 yards) or the Level 39 Taylormade ATV 64 (50 yards). The former although pricey might serve me better over long term. What do you guys reckon?
