I have been a member of WGT for some years now and find it less enjoyable to play the more I play, do not mind the courses becoming harder as I progress, but Pinehust 2 borders on insulting. I'm about to start looking for some other game. mentioned  before that balls seem to be taken of play faster and faster also if you loose a last ball of a brand during play with only 5 holes to play you can't use other balls that you have already purchased, penalty for not spending more money. Wake up Wgt.

Do not understand your comment about Pinehurst  - are you saying that it is too hard or too easy?

Like every other course on WGT, if you play it often enough, it is easier to predict where your errant shots will go - but, unless you ding every shot, it is still a challenge.  The ridiculously long par 4 holes are a PIA, but they're  the same for everybody.

As to reverting to a "starter ball" when you loose your last "paid-for" ball - sorry - but how could this possibly be a surprise to you?  The game tells you that you are using the last ball of a particular type and asks if you want to buy an other sleeve.  If you don't buy another sleeve and 'shank' your last ball into the water/out of bounds, you AUTOMATICALLY revert to the starter ball. You have been playing here for over 2 years and this is news to you???

Perhaps you are correct, you might be happier elsewhere!

As to automatically reverting to starter balls this is a scam , of course I' m aware of the notification re last ball , but why do I have to by a new sleeve if I have plenty of other types of balls in my bag.                                                                                                                              Pinehurst, even to suggest that it is too easy tells me that maybe your wheels have fallen off, the set up is ridiculous, to land a lob wedge within a foot of the pin have it stop and run off the  green should not  happen.

Sorry Assie, I was a more 'harsh' than I meant to be.

    Just 4 points:

    1. No one likes the "auto-reversion" to the starter ball when you lose one - but WGT's programming (obviously) lacks a provision to allow you to designate an "order of precedence" for replacing what got lost.  Yes, it sucks. If there really are millions and millions of players here, can you imagine the problems that WGT would have to deal with if that feature existed?  How many people would demand replacement balls because they made a mistake or selected the "wrong" ball or were forced to play with something other than their preferred ball?

    2. You can avoid having a ball 'expire' in the middle of the round by paying attention to the little bar at the lower right hand side of the screen (below the ball). If, at the first tee of a new game, that bar is red and less than 1/16 inch long, it may not last for 9 holes, let alone 18. Recommend ending the game (before you hit anything) and select a different ball. Use the "short red bar" balls for practice rounds.

    3. The use of "backspin" helps to stop the ball where it lands.
If you play Pinehurst (or any other course) often enough, you will learn where to put your ball to minimize the chance of having it roll to the fringe.  On rare occasions (lol), I do have approach shots land within a yard of the pin but, usually, they do not roll back to the fringe.  The only time that I see this problem is when hitting out of a bunker with a high bank (and) onto a sloped landing area.  The combo of my Cleveland wedges and Cally 33 will not "stick" under those conditions.

    4. WGT and its employees are the only ones making a living here.  Do not take it so seriously that it raises your blood pressure! This game is supposed to be for "recreation".
