I don't normally move the flag stick when putting but use the club face to take the break.  I can also usually read breaks where I have to move the stick way up the break but have problems in the middle of those two situations.

The main problem is that everything gets very dangerous when you get close to the right mark on the "putter face".  If you touch it you will whiff the putt....

I've always thought this penalty was extreme....there should be a way to hit through the right or left putter face mark without a fluff....like all other clubs.

Are you talking about these marks?

Excuse me, but the game won't change for you. Almost 2,000 Tour Legends show that it can be done perfectly as-is - find your way!

For severe breaks and icy greens, your (and mine) off-ding method doesn't work. you don't get enough "uphill" deviation, and the power diminishes progressively.

=> You'll have to move the marker - practice it!

I use both methods, but I really like the Ghost Spider L92 for off-ding on a heavy slope.

Just a FYI, other clubs will shank the shot if you go outside the outer marks.
