For some reason if my meter goes just to the right of the ding, and I mean like touching the ding, the shot goes wild. You imagine what its like to have a 15 straight level putt for an eagle and not being able to ding it for fear you wont even have a birdie putt coming back

I have had drives go 60 to 145 yards and my driver is 280 yard drive. It also happens with iron shots. If its a long iron I get about 60% of the shot (on a full shot). On short irons where I am hitting 60% or more the ball can take very wide left or right.

And in any case it can go on the water or OB.

The worse thing is putting. I have had, like today. a 7 footer goes 16 yards or in some cases go off the green.

I just turned Master and it took me a good six months to do that. Every once in a while I have turned in good scores, but they could be lower except for the jumps.

    Any body have any ideas?

    Roger

Aiming to hit the ding all the time may not be the best policy Roger. On drives and approaches try clicking before the ding to compensate for a left to right wind, or after the ding for a right to left wind.

This is a strange one and I can only suggest two things. Your mouse wheel changes your club, so be very careful after you have made your club selection that you don't touch or jog the wheel. Secondly, I would clear out your flash cache if you haven't recently done so. HERE is a video to help you achieve this.

This sounds like you haven't quite got to grips with the green speed. If you have Excel on your computer then THIS might be of some use to you. The formula was devised by Davester9 (who does not appear to play anymore) so if it works for you then any thanks should be posted in his direction.

And finally....when I moved up to the master tier I found it so tough that I nearly gave up playing, but it gets easier with practise so don't give up just yet.  : )

Scott, thanks for your reply. Its not that  am trying the ding on drives or iron shots. I do usethe left and right  for wind. but sometimes ido hit that spot and whammy, away goes the ball.

My clubs aren't being changed. I double check that all the time  since I play in windy conditions and have to adjust the clubs. I will try the flash cache, but I was told by WGT not to clear caches until WGT release a product update or I have prolonged loading issues which I don't have.

As to green speeds, I use a program I found on here for instance playing a hole with very fast speed  and at a distance of 18 feet with the putting selection is 30 feet.

[distance x .80  add or subtract +/- elevation + 2 (for make sure you go past hole) divided by distance shown for the putter distance shown (15 or 30 distance etc.)

This works very well and even on very long putts like when you drive a green and have a 50 ft + distance. I always double check this and if it looks wrong, do it again.

What do you think about WGT advice on clearing Flash and Browser not except for what they say by going to Optimize Your WGT Experience

Where this really bothers me the most is a straight putt, 8 feet, and trying to hit the ding and I am a hair long and the call goes double distance.

With the problems that you are experiencing I would clear your flash cache because if you have any corrupt files, clearing them out is permanently benefical,  but having your game experience slowed whilst waiting for game files to be loaded up, isn't permanent, or even long term from my own experiences.

If your 'double distance putt' is an isolated incident on one particular green, then it's possible that there is a severe downhill slope somewhere on that putt, local knowledge is very important as the courses do have their differences, not all greens, bunkers and rough play the same.
