Any suggestions on a putt that only breaks the 1st half or 2nd half?

Aim half the distance away from the hole that you normally would if it broke all the way?

This may work for a break in the second half, imagining a straight putt to the middle and a break from there.

But, if the putt starts with the break there are several differing things.

First, the ball will be faster passing the break, thus responding less to it,

second, leaving the break, the ball's direction will have changed, and it will continue in that angle (or whatever follows there).

best advice I can tell you is practice. it will depend on how hard and how much it breaks. I get on a hole I am having an issue with and hit bunch of mulligans so I know speed and result.

When I have multiple speed dots, I look for the one that is moving the average speed. For long putts this works pretty well for lagging, and on medium putts gets me in the general area, which through practice/experience, I tweak it one way or the other.
