I am about to purchase a new driver, and I would like to hear some feedback as to which I should get. Meter speed is not an issue, so that is a non factor. I have narrowed it down to the Taylor Made: R9 TP 9.5 and the Tour Burner 9.5. The only real difference between the two is that the R9 carries at 255 (ten more yds. than i am at now) and the Tour Burner carries at 250. What I would like to know is....Do I buy the Tour Burner now with the credits I have, OR wait to get the other 200 credits for the R9? Is the R9 worth it?

     Thanks for any input

I generally prefer max out distance but some others prefer more control. It's really up to you...

I'm with icon-go for the distance, you'll never be sorry for that. Precision off the tee at any level less than Legend is a bit unnecessary. GL

I am with both you guys.  Distance is key.   Most fairways are wide enough that you can miss and still be in fairway.  Anything that can get me a club or two closer is key.
