     I`m not sure why, but St. Andrews seems to point out the worst of WGT`s disability to compile statistics and give awards correctly. There are fairway and green in regulation quirks (I`m being nice ;-) ) that have given me "all GIRs" when I missed several greens, way less than 100% FIR when I`ve hit All FWs (and these were Not because of driving the greens), and once I even had a severe meter freeze on the 4th tee that sent my ball less than 100yds, but I still made par (during the 1st Open round...that was fun)  yet I didn`t receive the award for it.

     Now it seems to have written another of its own award rules. I aced #11 and got credit for that AND an eagle. I`ve always been "in the camp" of Only One, Not Both awards. There has been a LOT of discussion about this but I think it comes down to the "rules of golf", period, end of story, nothing to discuss.

     Now if WGT has changed the rules, they are not only very wrong in this but... Why didn`t I get credit for a "holed out" shot too? I got credit for chipping out on #10 at least. A "hit the flag stick" is debatable...I didn`t hear it hit ;-). 

     I`ve reported all these things and more, both in-game and on the forums `til I`m blue in the face. I still see the same ol` problems and now a new quirk. I almost feel as embarrassed as I was the other day while playing blitz and I unintentionally got the "recovery bonus". It just doesn`t feel right. Oh well, just thought I`d report it, cheers.

  Congrats on the HIO man.  An ace on a par 3 is an eagle in golf stats and always has been, so naturally you get credit for both here.  You also get credit for a double eagle if you ace a par 4.  Ask Andrew McGee as I believe he is still the only PGA player in tour history with a double eagle on a par 4.

  Gets a little sticky here but technically a holed approach shot occurs after you tee off.  An ace is considered a tee shot so you don't get credit for a holed approach.  Researched this after acing BPB 2 a while back and not getting credit or award for holed approach shot over 200 yds.

  Well, crap!    I just wasted a dozen balls looking for the magic portal through the trees on BPB #2!!  LMFAO!

  Thanks Jake, I must have gotten confused with some old debates over on the TWO forums, where only one or the other is counted...ironically enough. On TWO your basically given a bird on every hole before teeing off, lol.

  Most of my post was "tongue in cheek", mainly chiding WGT for the poor stats issue (which I consider to be on the more serious side of the many issues) which still plagues S.A.. 50% of my rounds have issues with FIR and GIR, nevermind the 9 and 18 hole disparities when it comes to the stats configuration.

  That was my fourth HIO and I honestly don`t remember being credited for both eagle and HIO for the first three...maybe WGT owes me 3 more eagles :-).

  I vaguely remember this and appreciate the difference of a holed "approach" shot and a holed "tee" shot. I was mostly facetious about this (as was the "hit the flag stick" comment) and was again chiding WGT for the whimsical way that they track our stats, which mostly become meaningless because of this.

  It took almost a year before I holed out for eagle on BPB 2 (which I did 3-4 more times under varying conditions right afterwards... of coarse ;) ) so I wasn`t thrown "off course" by that one ;-D 

  Over-all, it still feels like "double dipping" to me though :-)
