Well-known fact from Day One, but no fault.
At STA, the scorecard length of Par4s and Par5s, as displayed top right before the first shot, is invariably measured to one of the pins. (*) The effective yardage is displayed when hovering over the blue dot on the mini-map. If the other pin is selected, these numbers will be different.
Same is true for other, elder WGT courses, and all doglegs like BPB #1.
(*) The number corresponds to the real course's scorecard, though these are design lengths, measured from a "design point" on the tee to green center. This is where WGT's numbers are "wrong".
In OLY and MER, the scorecard length is measured to some other point on or close to the greens. At PIN, it's difficult to spot due to the length of the tracks.
Par3 holes should always show the effective yardages in WGTland.
