Yes Lee Kwan Yew has died, and was known as the founding father of Singapura. Loved and despised, he certainly transformed the rock into a prosperous nation of which I was lucky to experience for 5 years.
For Singaporeans this was the man that changed the face of the country and whilst I do not necessarily agree in his methods of suppression of opposition, I do believe the vast majority of Singaporeans have benefitted.
