I have been playing wgt for almost a year now. The only problem i have with the game is the meter. Most of the time it is very erratic and unpredictable, it has cost me upteen birdies, on odd occasions eagles. Is this a thing wgt purposely install in the game ?. Any advice would be very welcome.

WGT is very browser sensitive. If your browser isnt clean and up to scratch , you will experience meter problems.

I would try first of all clearing your browsers Cache to see if that helps. (Click anywhere in a white space on your browser and press CTRL/SHIFT & DEL  to bring up the cache options)

Its also important to clear your browsers FLASH CACHE from time to time.
(Right click on the big PLAY NOW button on the left in WGT . Select 'Global Settings' and then go ahead and follow the prompts to DELETE ALL.)

Many here use Maxthon or Comodo Dragon exclusively for the WGT game.

I use Maxthon, but it is important to go into the settings and turn off the 'proxy' feature once installed

    http://www.maxthon.com/.

There are a lot of things you can do at your end to help make the meter smoother.

A smooth meter usually results from your computer's CPU being very close to quiescent during the downswing.

A jerky meter often indicates your computer's CPU is very busy during the downswing.

try this:  under "game settings"      set flash quality to "LOW"   turn OFF, reflections, putting grid, and flag animation. this should help.   also check your flash player and make sure ONLY ONE version is enabeled, sometimes there are multiple versions installed. this can cause huge meter problems.  if still NG try comodo dragon browser.
