There has to be an easier way to earn credits in this game. Just makes it so hard to upgrade clubs when I have to keep buying balls all the time.

What do you guys do to get the clubs upgraded? Are you paying for credits?

    Thanks,

    Matt

Almost 8 years and I've never spent a penny out of pocket. It was all paid for through videos and surveys. It takes a tremendous amount of patience,a very thick skin and an understanding that you are not going to get to play as often as you might like if you intend to use videos and surveys to finance your activities here.

Take your time and don't attempt to "buy" a better game and you will save a bundle of credits, too. Learn the game using cheap or free balls. You'll be a much better player long-term if you do.

    Enjoy the journey.

Appreciate your access SR, but mine is totally different.

Here in Germany, I get much less surveys etc but the scamming thoughts never ceize. I deem my life time more valuable than these "free" credits, therefore I decided to use traditional means like capital and work to obtain the money (€ or $) which I then spend to finance my hobby, my leisure, my pleasure on this site.

Others have become so good that they win the necessary credits - I stay below that, in the leisure sector, and spend 10(?) $ per month - cheaper than any single night at town!

It's a very affordable pastime the way I play it!

    +1 to every word.

Time is money so I cannot afford to spend hours scraping together enough "free credits" to play the game.

And in reality, the time taken/credits received ration is akin to the slave labor that much of the Western world condones in third World countries. Here in WGT land it is accepted!

One does not have to spend a fortune on credits and still play to a reasonable level, but we all have the choice of whether to spend a lot or nothing. Either way the game can be just as enjoyable.

I just went out for a coffee and that was 5 bucks........a night out is considerably more. For $5 on here I can get a lot of mileage and enjoyment from it....certainly more than the coffee.

Finally I will add, like in Germany, offers here are few and far between. For years I looked at what surveys were available - once I had one available (75cr for about 30 minutes - see the hourly rate??) and since then it was "sorry there are no surveys available" . Now it is, "sorry someone ate all the surveys".

So to live on 7 carousel views a day........I ain't gonna play much unless I use free balls and occasionally splash out on the good stuff....Tour SD's

First off stop wasting your credits on balls for now especially balls with the vapor trail . Take your time do the videos and the surveys for now . You just have to put your time in and save your credits . Like srem been playing for almost 4 years and never spent a penny out of pocket for anything .

It just takes time and patience but you can do it . Currently I have over 14,500 credits and counting . I troll for credits every day 3-5 times a day and there are always credits available . Decide which club you want and then start working on building the credits needed to get it . Its just like working and saving for something you want in real life .

So there you go just take your time and save your credits . With the starter gear buying balls is a waste of credits . Better clubs is what you will need first and then a better ball on down the line . Hope this helps and good luck with your game . :-)

I watch TV at night with a laptop in my lap. I play the Carousel and when I accumulate 200 views i cash in for 150 credits ( 28 days ).

I play the surveys, ignore any and all that ask for name and address, play time approx 2-3 hours per night. Ive been averaging 3o0 credits per night  minimum ( 9000 per month).

    1. cost to me zero

    2. benefits free balls plus I don't have to listen to all the garbage on TV but I keep my wife happy because I'm in the room with her not in the office.

    It's worth it

alosso and alanti - I know you are right about access and time spent for credits earned. Overseas members do not get access to "free" credits like many of us in the U.S.A. The OP is in the U.S.A. so he should have access to more "free" credits than you.

Like jiggsie, I too amassed credits in what amounted to spare time. As a stay-at-home parent only working part-time and on a very limited budget, I simply hit the videos on the laptop walking by the counter on my way to other tasks. Late at night I would hit them while sitting with my wife and children when it didn't interfere with interacting and parenting.

Because I was able to amass over 100,000 credits over the years, I gifted most of that to members living overseas who didn't have the luxury of getting credits that way. I quit gifting due to the issues you've probably seen in the Attention WGT thread. I don't play for credits so I'm still playing on credits that were in my account over 6 months ago. Haven't looked at a survey in over a year and a half and haven't clicked on a video in over 6 months.

Many people on fixed incomes or with restrictive circumstances simply don't have the ability to go out in the marketplace and gain employment to play this game. We all do whatever our circumstances dictate. What cash we have is too precious to spend on this game.

    You say,

    srellim234:
What cash we have is too precious to spend on this game.

and, looking at jiggsie's statement of 300 cr in 3 hours = 1 $ cash per hour, I say, my lifetime is too precious to spend this way.

It's two different yet valid POVs. No harm to anybody.
