More than that:
- for us, the clients, it's superfluous like a struma,
- fat and white, it disturbs the view and the game,
- special attention needed NOT to spend unnecessary credits.
Even you spend more than necessary in that triviality ;)
The just click it to make it go away isn't the issue. It's the redundancy of the message, and the waste of programmers time implementing this into the game for no reason other than trying to get you to "panic buy" more balls.
Why not spend the programmers time on something to actually help the game - I think there are plenty of suggestions out there that would better serve the game that they should spend their time on.

It will try to bother you on every ball that comes down to it's last stroke. If you then buy a sleeve each time you will certainly not run out of balls ;)
