First off, I hate meters, even just the fast-ish meter on my G-20 irons (Somehow I can tolerate my G20 driver and 3 wood). I also hate the meter on my Rossa putter. Second, I don't have the financial reserves to buy credits. Third, I know I will never be a superstar or increase my rank at this game because of the previous reasons, so now I am just trying to enjoy the game. Thus, I have some questions for those who have some experience with lower level clubs.

First, I am wondering which putter I should switch to: the Ghost Spider (level 35) or the Method (level 51)? I feel that the Ghost would be better due to the credit difference and only a .5 difference in forgiveness and balance.

However, irons are much more different. I have the distances down with my irons, but the meter combined with the forgiveness of the G20s is a pain. I am looking at lower level irons but I don't know which ones to get. The Max Meter would give a better meter but less spin and precision. If anyone has any recommendations, I am more than willing to accept them.

I dont think you'll get any better irons than you have until level 84 (?).

You could try upgrading your ball to Callaway lvl 33's.

Well, I'm not necessarily looking for something that is better (statistically speaking). I am looking for something that has a better meter for me that hopefully has a similar distance to my current clubs.

The main reason I don't buy balls is that after 1-2 packs, I would be out of credits and the offers that I can do don't provide a consistent influx of credits... That is why I am looking for a set of irons with a slow meter. I can consistently ding it and be more accurate, even if it comes at a loss of precision.

Thats what I meant by better, a better meter, there may be slower meter irons but all the other stats will be a lot lower than those g-20's to the point their not worth buying. I haven't bought irons in a long time though, maybe things are different but I doubt it.

Your point about balls is the problem we all face, I don't put cash into the game but get enough free credits (just) to keep me in Callaways. They're the cheapest of the balls that slow your meter to any significant amount.

When I was poor in the early days of this game, the G12-S ball was what I used. Always dreaming of the day when I could afford Callaways.

If things come too easily then they are usually not appreciated.

Okay, thanks to everyone for their input. I think I may just buy a more forgiving putter. Today, I shot a 68 at RSG in the single-play uneven lies tournament. But, the score could have been better if I had a more forgiving putter. One thing to add was that I was using "The First Tee" vapor ball. It has the same stats as the lowest level Srixon ball so I might just start using them and not worry about my irons as much...

Given  your mini rant (only <3) I'd suggest you keep all your equipment as is and do what Oneyed suggest;  use that 1 spin 2 meter WGT si-12 something ball.  Buying a club/s with worst precision would be a mistake.
