I just tried t o play BP ready go with strong winds and standard greens. It was pretty much unplayable.  The freakin winds were so inconsistent...and the greens were so horribly wrong. I tried to putt on #12. I kept putting to short...with no up hill notice.  I cant stand the way they set these courses up some time.  Wait! I would like them if they were much more consistent!

If you don't have all the little tricks and secrets and the right contacts in the WGT community, you are totally fubar. I have learned this the hard way the last week and a half. I have switched clubs, balls, read every post to help your game. I am shooting

5-6 strokes worse each game than I ever have. I have used these diffferent clubs for

several months and they have found a mind of their own. All the masters and legends

say play the harder courses or you'll never get better. Funny you go back to the easy

courses and can't shoot par anymore. I am very frustrated with this game and don't see

playing everyday helping one bit. Make the gauges and other little secrets available to

every player at every level or quit posting the nonsense rounds of 24 or 25.

Heath, I have not pulled a club in 6 months, so I can't and won't comment on the inconsistencies that you and several others have spoke of lately...I totally believe what I've been hearing from some very good players , but you know as well as I do that going from our slick greens back to a standard (especially)  at BPB is like putting in mud and the fringe is Velcro.

Renn , the secret that your looking for after viewing your stats is "You start getting up and down and Renn starts dropping mega strokes"   You have to scramble sweetie. You have 202 ranked rounds. When your at 402 ,502, and 602 you'll have gained loads of confidence and knowledge. Don't get frustrated ; tighten up your belt on the wedge play.

Are you factoring in the wind when putting? Recently WGT slipped that in - if you're putting against a strong wind the ball will pull up quicker so you need to add a bit of distance to the putt. Conversely if you're putting with the wind, it will run further than normal. It's more noticeable on the very fast/tournament greens that I putt on as a Master.

Also, as regards chipping, I've found that the flop shot is (for me anyway) far and away the most consistent shot to use. I practised it for a while and now it's saved me many times. I even use it from the fringe in preference to putting, where there's a big break.

WGT can't please everybody. Just read a post where somebody wanted more variation, now this one wants more consistency.
