Don't give me a putter when i'm on the fringe if it is not a viable option. RLG that's the shot I use and have never once putted the ball from the fringe and it did not move.

I know this is pretend golf, but shots that do not move after hitting the ball are not possible.

That has been a problem here for a long long time.  I have resorted to always chipping from the fringe because of that...as putting is too unpredictable.  When putting from the fringe, I need to hit the ball a lot harder than I think I should...making it harder to judge the distance that when I chip.

Joey is correct. putting from the fringe was never a major problem till sometime back this summer. I am sure it is on the 2040 to do list here at wgt. Most just chip off the fringe now. I would say I chip about 98% of all fringe shots. GL

The more we play, the more we learn to appreciate all the shots...chip, pitch, punch, flop , full and yes, even when to putt or not to putt.  And since every shot is different, practice, like in real golf, is the best way to learn what's best for your game.  I'd recommend playing practice games...there, you can play back to the same locations to practice what works for you.  You'll get around 10 shots on each hole before reaching the max strokes per hole.  For an easier game, you can buy better equipment and balls that will help as well.
