HI everyone.  I’ve been playing the game here for a while now and am up to level 53 and my tour pro average score is 72.96.  I’ve made a couple purchases with my credits a while back and bought a driver and three wood.  I’m currently playing with a Cobra Bio Cell Driver and a TaylorMade Rocketballz 3 wood.  Other than that I’m playing with my starter clubs.  I’ve built up credits and bought some and am sitting with about 6,000 to spend and looking for solid advice about what clubs to upgrade.  I’m thinking about a better driver, as I’m lucky to hit my drives 230 at this point, a better putter, and better wedges to start.  Then next thinking about irons.  Thoughts on where my focus should be?  Thoughts on which clubs would be the best bang for my budget?  Thanks.

I believe you should wait until lvl 59 and buy the complete set of Ping G-25's (woods and irons) I bought them and played them all the way to lvl 90 tour master. They are the first set of Irons you can buy with high trajectory which helps to get balls to stop on the greens more often, especialy if they are raised greens. The lvl 39ish ATVs are good wedges, still using them, but looking to upgrade to the high lvl Cleveland's, when I get some credits. I still use the lvl 35  Ghost spider putter, also looking to upgrade to a high lvl Nike Method. I hope this helps. Maybe grind some levels while you wait for a free rental weekend to try out my suggestion.

I really enjoyed this set of clubs and had great success with them. I would still play them but the grind from 90 to 100 is a long time and feel I will be able to save up credits for the lvl 100 clubs. So I upgraded to the lvl 85 Nike irons and the lvl 85 Nike covert driver, still using the Ping G25 3 wood.

Sound advice, Tom, L59 being at 83,000 XPs.

OTOH, the ATV wedges are available - get two short ones (50 + 77 yds, 1,000 cr).

An alternative putter will come up shortly: Daytona Rossa (L55, 700 cr)) - choose!

Then get the G25 set (4,500 cr) and look for a good third wedge of 100 yds (900 cr), replacing the Hybrid.

That's 7,100 cr - quite an amount, and you're gonna ease your game with decent balls, Tour-SD (65), Srixon (180) or Callaways (L33, 250 cr), eating more credits.

But, to me and to many, it's worth the fun!

    @ OP

I'v e noticed you purchased the TM 48 Driver and that was an EXCELLENT choice.  I agree with those saying you should wait for level 59 for the Pings, however, the level 55 Daytona is a horrible putter imo.  It only has 2 forgiveness which will offset that nice 4.0 Precision for most of us (100% Dingers and off-Ding putters excluded).

Personally, I used the level 35 Ghost Spider until I hit the Master Tier at which point I switched to the Max Control Putter (which I will use until I reach level 94; Nike).  So how many credits do you have left and what are you thinking about purchasing next?

Thanks for your input.  Yeah, I hadn’t heard anything on here for a few days, so after some research, I decided to dive in and purchase clubs.  I pretty much decided to go TaylorMade across the board.  There’s something I like about having the same clubs.  Since I play this game quite a bit, I figure I’ll play with these for awhile and see the impact on my game.  I bought:

Driver:  TaylorMade R1 TP 9.0 White Driver (Aldilla 65 shaft)(L48+)

    Irons:  TaylorMade R11 (steel) (L32+)

Wedges:  TaylorMade ATV 60 Wedge (L39+); TaylorMade ATV 64 Wedge (L39+)

    Putter:  TaylorMade Spider Putter (L19+)

I weighed these against some higher level clubs, but the feedback seemed better for these and I felt like I might get more bang for my buck.  Immediately I can see a difference with my driver.  Instead of driving the ball 230-240 yards I’m now driving 270-280.  Also a big improvement with putting, although I’m not sure I like the putter yardages-25 is an odd number to figure out how hard to hit.

The only clubs I haven’t upgraded (ran out of credits) are my 3 wood and my 3 hybrid-still using the TaylorMade RocketBallz 3 wood (L8+) and the starter 3 hybrid 19 (steel).  Not too worried about the hybrid as my new 3 iron hits the same distance.

I will keep in mind your suggestions as I keep going up levels when I’m looking for my next upgrade.
