    I'd like a go please.

Any advice on streaming in Twitch is appreciated.

I am 14 hours ahead of SF, so hope that works out.

If we have players wanting to play, we can work with their schedules to make sure they have a chance to play.  I believe Yancy is already penciled in for one slot next week, so I will let Shamwow pick the next and we can do an AS.

yah - just tried twitch - my machine doesn't have the muscle - if i'm required to use I'll have to set out.  my skype screen share causes very little drag or whatever - thought it would work but way more powerful i suppose.

I've had a couple of friends state they had the same problem (when asked a week or so by a mod about streaming, in case they were in the top of the quarterly VT) . I tried letting them share screens on Skype while I Twitch the round live. It works really well, and they only have to have Skype running which doesn't eat up much memory/ram.

I was able to Twitch using windows 7, with a 5 mbps download speed and .42 upload. It didn't affect the meter at all, but the delay between every shot was about 15-30 seconds.

teamspeak 3 (free) uses about 14,000K of memory on my laptop.

Can you share screens with teamspeak? I wanted to use it before, but someone said you needed a headset/mic to go with it. I couldn't find anything that said otherwise.I'd like to try it out.

    Hi All,

Just to be clear, you wont have to stream from your own system, we are streaming from our side so when you are up, it will show like it does from your opponents side. There is an option to use "Chat Pop Out" in settings for twitch so you can actually close the stream if you are playing. You don't have the stream running in the background and only have the chat up if having the stream playing in the background affects gameplay. I would suggest testing it before next weeks stream by finding a random stream and poping out the chat, closing the stream and trying to play a practice round. :)

I like the idea of using teamspeak, might test this out this weekend to see how it works. So far Skype has been pretty good but I have used teamspeak before and its pretty easy to get set up.

I am going to be opening another thread for next weeks Twitch with a poll for people that want to play on next weeks stream. We are thinking that for the first round, having players already selected would get the stream up and running a bit faster and allow for more game play. Time permitting we may be able to get in a second round and would randomly select players from the chat that would like to play. More info to come on the next thread.

Thanks again for being so interested in these Let's Play streams. I really enjoy it and we wouldn't be able to do this without your support! Looking forward to next week and keep an eye out for next weeks thread!

    All the Best,
    WGTShamWow

Always happy to compete via stream (or other live options like skype)

Pencil me in for any matches against anyone/s at anytime/s, wouldn't enjoy having to be awake at 3 in the morning though :-)

    Peace,

    Liz

Thanks for the mentions & whatnots!

Was having very paranormal computer issues all of a sudden as we began to set up the broadcast. So my brain was a little tired and not being prepared & whatnots to give "color commentary" - it was all beta people. I (this is Yancy) think that I could perhaps fit this niche nicely (allegedly) with a few more runs. Plus I am struggling with the putting right now - the idea of watching me might not play too well. But I am known for some game changing shots in the alt. shots & whatnots. It will sort out. Just watched the replay of this, that's why I am all Chatty Cathy right nows and such.

Heres the linker if you wanna watch the rebroadcast:
