This has been a cool day. I hit L-100 ( 3 days short of 6 full months from L-99) and I can buy those sweet Vapor Irons with the even sweeter 3.5 meter...jazzy ! Also, I was gonna swing for that L-100 driver (why, you say ? No idea...love my Bertha) yet, alas...a new release ! A special edition, Black R1 289 yarder ! I mean L-103 is what ? a year away ? But, I can have it now ! Looks great, but why, oh why, after knowing that almost everyone is down with a 3.5 meter, would this very highest level driver be fouled up with a zero demand, retarded 4.5 meter that will match nothing in most bags ? HELP!!! I'm lost for an answer that makes any sense   ~ SP ~

Congrats on the grind Lily :)

There may or not be free rentals this weekend ?

4.5 meter speed on the max 3 wood was a pain for me.

same meters on all gear is a big help in a ding rythm.

p.s Go get it , just because !

Lily, I'll hit L103 next week and will probably spring for the new driver just to have a 9 degree R1 to go with the 8 degree R1.  I don't expect it to shave strokes off my scores, just looking forward to a new toy/tool to have in the box.

As far as the meter speed, not sure why it's so much slower and don't really know if it'll be a problem, but not too worried about that.

I agree with Siggi...get it just because...mainly because if you pass on the opportunity, that little voice will be saying, "Why didn't you get it when you had the chance???"

That journey from L100 to L103 is a looooong one for sure...L103 is 3,024,740.

btw you're gonna love the L100 irons.  :-)

    Without doubt...ain't gonna happen. They had a free-rent on the Vapor, about identical to the VF's, but the meter fits me perfect. The 4.5 meter on the R1 shouldn't be an issue but it gives me something to gripe about...you know, nothing left to buy....knowing me I'll probably start jonesin' for something new and buy a hybrid ;-}

    I'm only 406,000 from Level 103, a mere 200 days or more.

I'm no bargain basement shopper, I'll buy it when I am good and ready and deserving.

In all honesty I bought it and its not much better than the 93+ which I already had . Im trying to wait until the game settles back down from the updates to really see what it will do . But as of right now it really is not an impressive club . It seems like WGT pulled another flim flam by using the 93+ program with just different graphics . Just like they did with the G25s , Ping wedges and the Cally balls .

The one plus is that the meter is still very slow even when playing with the rock .Once you get your clubs to 3.0-3.5 or slower you can play and shoot decent scores with the rock .But for right now I would suggest you hold up on that purchase . No sense in you being disappointed or wasting credits . So wait awhile , let the game settle down and lets see if they are going to tweek it for better performance . I`ll let you know in a week if it starts to respond better and if its worth the credits .

Hey SP, I have rented the L103 driver and played StAndies 3 times, and missed 1 fairway in 54 holes. Ran out of fairway on #2 after going 343 yards

    Shot 60, 61 & 61

I rented it (the limited time L99 version) and gave it a try around St A B9 in the Glenmorangie tourney.  Easily drove #12 with a side wind and full backspin, choking down a bit...ball ran up the bank just a bit then rolled back down for an easy eagle putt.  On #18 had a 12-14 mph tailwind so let it fly without touching spin dot...ball took a few bounces in the fairway then rolled up onto then through the green all the way to the rough in back, 29 yds past the pin.

So yeah, this thing is a cannon under the right conditions, and I suspect pretty versatile when one uses various combinations of bs/ts and power variations.  Pretty sure I'll get the L103 version when I get there next week.

Well, it was free to try this weekend and....sorry WGT the 4.5 meter is a no-no. So, no US Grant for you...I spend the $50 elsewhere. The Vapors are a different story. Flawless in every way. A delight !

I rented the 103 driver too and like Fmags said, I wasn't impressed...wasn't really any longer than the lvl 100 Nike but I must admit I hit it early a lot with that slow meter, not worth $50 to me....I drive it pin high on #12 in the Glenmorage tourney into anything up to 10mph headwind with the nike, the 103 R! barely got to the green into a 5mph wind....
