I get the blue light situation.  Please understand that I just had an idea and decided to throw it out for comments.  I have not played an Alt Shot Match yet.  All I have done is read what other players are saying about it.

I have looked through the WGT players list before, which is usually 5 pages long.  I was just trying to find an easier and more efficient way.  That is what led me to the idea of a room so a player does not have to search for a blue light or go to another website to get into a chat room.

But, if that is what has been implemented and accepted then I am all about jumping onboard the train.  It was just an idea.

And it is a good idea because two other sites have chat rooms to set up matches!

I just wonder if there is a practical limit on how many people can be in a chat room at one time and still be effective?

A general chatroom on the WGT site would need to support 3 to 5 thousand active users at any given time. (there are ~3000 active users now at 5:40 PST).  If just 1% of active users were in the chat that would be 30 to 50 people trying to set up a match.

I've been in the WGTLS meet and greet chat with about 20 and needed to be quick on the response to a query for a match in order to be paired up.

Separate chat rooms for alt shot, blitz, challenge matches, match, and stroke play would certainly be needed to sort things out.
